Root canal treatment – microscopic endodontics
Microscopic endodontics is a modern method of root canal treatment using a microscope. It is necessary when there is a very painful inflammation of the tooth pulp. The inflammatory focus should also be removed, including from the dental canals, to avoid further development of the disease and complications. The need for root canal treatment is most often the cause of untreated tooth decay. Root canal treatment using a microscope makes the process more accurate and less painful and in addition tooth treatment is completed even during one visit.
KCM Clinic Dentistry Center offers:
- Root canal treatment at one visit
- Removal of broken instruments from root canals
- Removal of crown-root inlays
- Dead teeth whitening
- Teeth treatment after accidents and injuries (tooth fractures in children and adults)
- Closing perforation with MTA material
Root canal treatment
It is used for dental pulp inflammation. It can occur due to complications of untreated caries and developing bacteria. Tooth pulp is very innervated and vascularized tissue, which is why untreated tooth pulp inflammations can be extremely painful for patients. The pulp fills not only the tooth canals but also its cavity. During root canal treatment, it must be removed completely to prevent the disease from developing again or from complications. The tooth is repeatedly disinfected and filled with sealing material, preventing the recurrence of the disease. In extreme cases, when the development of the disease is very large, other methods of tooth reconstruction are proposed. Dental canals often have a complicated structure, which makes root canal treatment difficult. The key then is the accuracy of the procedure, which is guaranteed by using a microscope – this type of root canal treatment is called microscopic endodontics.
Microscopic endodontics
It is a modern method of root canal treatment using a microscope. It is extremely important because it makes the treatment area more visible to the doctor. It allows for precise and accurate treatment. Due to the individual and sometimes complex structure of the dental canals, the procedure may become more difficult. However, even in the most difficult cases, microscopic endodontics can cure the disease. This method increases the quality of the surgery, the tooth is treated more accurately and efficiently. This has a direct impact on the patient’s health, because properly performed microscopic endodontics reduces the risk of recurrence of the disease and complications after treatment. The procedure is painless because the doctor performs it under local anesthesia and in a lying position, which allows the patient to relax during the treatment. Microscopic endodontics allows ending root canal treatment during one visit.
