Mastectomy with breast reconstruction
A mastectomy with breast reconstruction is a preventive procedure involving the removal of breasts and their replacement with breast implants. The treatment is dedicated to women who are at high risk of developing breast cancer. In order to prevent the development of the disease, it is possible to perform this prophylactic procedure.
During the procedure, the mammary glands are removed, while the skin and areola are left behind. The removed tissues are replaced with breast implants. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and requires prior qualification.
