Laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery is a minimally invasive treatment for the protrusion of the abdominal cavity contents, for example, the intestines, through the inguinal canal. The symptoms of inguinal hernia are usually most pronounced during the day and improve after lying down. They include pain and discomfort with coughing, exercise, or bowel movements. The main danger of inguinal hernia is strangulation, which means that the contents of the abdominal cavity become entrapped in the inguinal canal.
