At the Urology Clinic, we qualify for surgical procedures performed as part of our Urology Department.
The main indication for injecting the bladder is hyperfunction. People with an overactive bladder complain of pollakiuria and urgency with or without urinary incontinence, and these symptoms prevent normal functioning. Generally available drugs for this ailment are in most cases not effective enough.
The doctor inserts an endoscope into the bladder and through the working canal a needle through which the substance is inserted into the muscle of the bladder in 20-30 punctures.
Patients are qualified on the basis of urological consultation, it is necessary to perform urodynamic tests confirming the diagnosis of overactive bladder. Before the procedure, it is necessary to perform the required tests and consult an anesthesiologist.
It is safe to use injection in line with existing standards. Side effects occur rarely, the most common are: headache, dizziness, fever, abdominal pain and diarrhea. Most of these side effects may not be an indirect effect of the injection, but of the anesthetics.
Contraindications to the treatment are menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, inflammation of the urinary system, use of injection in the last 3 months.
