Dr hab. n. med. Mariola Popko Zagor Md, PhD, is a recognized specialist in facial plastic surgery, a specialist in nolaryngology, a member of the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry of the Medical University of Warsaw, head of the rhinology team and a member of the European Academy of Facial Surgeons.

Her special areas of interest include otorhinolaryngology and facial plastic surgery, including endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses, aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, immunology of the paranasal sinuses and functional anatomy of the external nose. She specialises in endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses and external nasal surgery (rhinoplasty).

Dr hab. n. med. Mariola Popko Zagor conducts scientific research on the immunological and genetic basis of paranasal sinus diseases and the functional anatomy of the external nose, which is confirmed by numerous scientific publications.

In 2017, she was awarded the title of habilitated doctor for a series of publications entitled “New concepts in the pathomechanism and diagnosis of chronic paranasal sinusitis”.

She has successfully completed numerous courses and received scholarships for surgical internships abroad (Holland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, USA) in the field of endoscopic surgery of the paranasal sinuses and external nasal surgery (rhinosurgery). She is also the laureate of the Honorary Diploma of the Rector of the Medical University of Bialystok for the best results in science. Also in 2018, she received the scientific award of the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw for co-authoring the publication entitled: “Functional anatomy of the external nose and its consequences in rhinosurgery”. She has also completed the residency program at the Laryngology and Laryngological Oncology Department of the Medical University in Poznan and the Otorhinolaryngology Department of the University Hospital Zurich. In 2017, she obtained the title of Associate Professor for the series of publications “New concepts in the pathomechanism and diagnosis of chronic rhinosinusitis”.
