From the 30th of August to the 1st of September, one of the world’s most important events in the field of bariatric and metabolic surgery took place.
Speaking of the XXVI IFSO WORLD CONGRESS of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery, which was held this year in scenic Naples, Italy.
The IFSO Congress (International Federation for the Surgery of Obesity and Metabolic Disorders) was combined with the XXXI Annual Congress of the Italian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery (SICOB).
The mission of IFSO is to share knowledge, collaborate, and develop universal standards in the care and treatment of patients with chronic obesity-related disorders. The Association’s activities include organizing bariatric congresses and international meetings, coordinating scientific cooperation among institutions involved in bariatric surgery, and establishing collaboration with national, governmental, and international organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO).
Assoc. Prof. Grzegorz Kowalski, Head of the Centre of Bariatric Surgery, KCM Clinic, was among the distinguished group of doctors and IFSO members who participated in this event. He has been associated with KCM Clinic for several years and has earned the respect of the medical community as well as the trust of hundreds of bariatric patients.
His attendance at the congress is not only an honor for our clinic but also evidence of his dedication to the field. We do not doubt that the knowledge gained will help dr. Grzegorz Kowalski give much greater healthcare to our patients.
