Marcin Olender, MD, is a specialist in general surgery. At KCM Clinic in Jelenia Góra, he performs endoscopic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract in the gastroscopy and colonoscopy unit.

Dr Olender specialises in the diagnosis of diseases of the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract. Gastroscopy allows assessment of the oesophagus, stomach, and duodenum, while colonoscopy enables diagnosis of the large intestine, including evaluation of inflammatory changes, polyps, gastrointestinal bleeding, and bowel movement irregularities.

Colonoscopy is also an important examination in the prevention of colorectal cancer. During the procedure, according to medical indications, it is possible to remove polyps, which is known as colonoscopy with polypectomy.
