Assoc. Prof. Dr. Grzegorz Kowalski, MD, PhD, is a specialist in general surgery and surgical oncology. At KCM Clinic in Jelenia Góra, he sees patients at the Bariatric Outpatient Clinic and the Surgical Oncology Outpatient Clinic, and performs surgical procedures as part of the Centre for Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery.

Dr Kowalski specialises in bariatric and metabolic surgery, surgical oncology, endocrine surgery, and minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures. A particular focus of his clinical practice is the treatment of obesity disease, revision surgery after bariatric procedures, and surgical treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, and adrenal glands.

Dr Grzegorz Kowalski graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice. In 2008, he obtained a PhD in medical sciences, and in 2024 he was awarded the degree of Doctor Habilitatus in medical and health sciences. He has completed international internships and training programmes in centres specialising in laparoscopic, bariatric, metabolic, colorectal, and endocrine surgery. He is the author and co-author of scientific publications and a member of national and international surgical societies.
