Children’s Surgery
As part of the Children’s Surgery Clinic, our specialists deal with the diagnosis and surgical treatment of diseases of our youngest patients.
As part of the Department of Pediatric Surgery of the Day, our experienced specialist surgeons perform specialized surgical procedures on children in a one- and two-day mode.
All treatments are performed under anesthesia under the strict supervision of anesthesiologists. Modern operating blocks, extensive diagnostics, and pre-operative care of qualified medical personnel guarantee the child’s safety and comfort during and after the operation. We provide our young patients with comfortable conditions in the hospital ward, with the possibility of accommodation of parents in the child’s room.
We are specialists in performing treatments:
- Plastic surgery of the frenulum and phimosis
- cryptorchidism
- Removal of skin lesions
- hernias
How to prepare for the procedure and stay in our hospital?
The duration of illness and stay in any hospital is inherently stressful and therefore it is important to limit its duration to the necessary minimum. All patients presenting for surgery are asked to follow the following rules:
- The patient is informed about the dates of all required examinations of the procedure in the Hospital Registration
- The patient should arrive at the hospital on time and on time, on the date agreed during the qualification visit or provided by the Hospital Registration employee
- Patients who have been informed that the date of the surgery is on the same day as the date of admission are asked to come to the hospital on an empty stomach (eating and drinking is not allowed 6 hours before the scheduled date of surgery. In exceptional cases, with consent or on request) physician, other, individually prepared procedures are possible
What should the patient have with him on the day of the procedure?
- referral to the hospital
- documents necessary to complete the formalities related to admission to the hospital (ID card, valid insurance card, in the case of retirees and pensioners, a pensioner card
- if it is necessary to issue a form of incapacity for work – the employer’s tax identification number
- all test results, X-ray pictures, etc., discharge cards and other medical documents,
patients suffering from other diseases are asked to take all the medications used in their original packaging - of course, it is necessary to bring to the hospital: personal toiletries, comfortable footwear for a change, pajamas, bathrobe and a towel
If the patient is a child, do parents have the option of staying overnight in the ward?
Of course, the parents of the little Patient can book a room in the child’s room.
Are the treatments reimbursed by the National Health Fund?
The hospital ward and the Pediatric Surgery Clinic operate only commercially.
