Laparoscopic surgery for intestinal tumors is a modern and minimally invasive method of treating intestinal cancer. Thanks to this method, the patient can recover faster than after surgery using the classical method.
At KCM Clinic, bowel tumor surgery is performed using the laparoscopic method. This minimally invasive method consists in introducing surgical instruments into the abdominal cavity, including a camera, into the patient’s abdominal cavity through several small incisions. The surgeon observes the image from the operating field through a camera inserted into the patient’s abdominal cavity. Neoplastic changes are removed using specialized micro tools. After the laparoscopic procedure, incisions of a few centimeters in the abdominal area are sutured.
Before the run, consultation with the surgeon performing the operation is necessary. You should perform all diagnostic tests as prescribed by your doctor and have all the results ready for consultation. During the consultation, the doctor should be informed about the patient’s health, all accompanying diseases and the medications taken. It is absolutely necessary to follow the doctor’s instructions before the procedure.
Laparoscopic surgeries are a minimally invasive method with a shorter recovery period. The duration of the period may vary depending on the patient’s state of health. Thanks to the minimally invasive laparoscopic method, patients recover faster.
During the consultation, the doctor should be informed about the accompanying diseases and the medications taken. Diagnostic tests should be performed according to the doctor’s instructions. It is imperative to follow your doctor’s instructions before and after surgery.
